AirAsia Launches Red Carpet Premium Service at Chiang Mai Airport



Low cost airline AirAsia has added Chiang Mai to its list of airports at which passengers are able to enjoy premium Red Carpet service and bonuses. The option is an add-on for passengers flying AirAsia international from Chiang Mai to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Macau, Hangzhou and Changsha. Red Carpet gives priority check-in, up to 2 hours 30 minutes of airport lounge access, fast-track boarding and rapid luggage collection.

At Chiang Mai Airport, the Coral Executive Lounge in International Terminal 1 provides service for passengers. Buffet food, drinks, WiFi, internet enabled computers, newspapers and magazines, and comfortable seating are key amenities provided free for Coral guests while showers are available for a surcharge.

Passengers flying from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport to Chiang Mai also have the option of pampering themselves with a Red Carpet package. The Coral Executive Lounge in Don Mueang’s domestic departures terminal offers the same deal. Passengers wishing to take advantage of Red Carpet can pre-book it online with AirAsia’s Manage My Booking or at the departure airport. Pre-booking gets the best price.

In addition to Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Red Carpet is available for passengers flying from the Thai airports of Phuket and Udon Thani. Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are two of another six Southeast Asian airports which offer AirAsia Red Carpet. Thai AirAsia commercial manager Santisuk Klongchaiya said the service was ideally suited to people who wished to fly cheaply but liked enhanced comfort.
