The 8 April 2017 saw Chiang Mai’s newest tourism attraction welcome its first guests. The Hidden Village theme park offers an eclectic collection of family friendly amusements which include statues of huge dinosaurs, butterflies and insects. Climbing into the mouth of one of the life-like prehistoric creatures is not for the faint hearted.
Sitting on one of the smaller models plus climbing inside a dinosaur egg, petting real tame animals and whizzing around in the playground are sure to excite young adventure seekers. The structure housing the Barn Steak House looks as if was uprooted from the American Midwest and airlifted to Chiang Mai. Lunch at the Barn offers a choice of mouth-watering delicacies with succulent burgers a definitive highlight.
There are no admission charges for Hidden Village visitors under the height of 140cms. Tickets for foreign adult tourists are THB200 while foreign expats with Thai driving licences, or other ID, and Thai nationals pay THB100. The park opens daily between 09:00 and 18:00. It is located in eastern Chiang Mai and a short drive from Meechok Plaza. Visit their Facebook for more information.
