Chiang Mai Café Kantary Stages Seasonal Mooncake Festival

Chiang Mai’s Café Kantary is staging a Chinese mooncake festival in the lead up to the 2018 Mid-Autumn Festival. The café’s own team of master chefs have concocted a tasty, authentic version of the Chinese sweet treat and they come in durian, red-bean and lotus seed flavours. Each mooncake has the signature egg yolk at its heart.

Café Kantary’s management team say groups of friends or families can each cut themselves a slice of cake. The mooncake promotion kicked off on the 1 of August and will run through until the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival on 24 of September. This festival is celebrated in China and Vietnam as well as by ethnic Chinese all around the world. Eating freshly baked mooncakes is an essential activity to mark the Asian equivalent of the Northern Hemisphere’s Harvest Festival.

Cafe Kantary’s mooncake fest is running concurrently with other low season promos on the likes of tomyam flavour fried rice with seafood, mango sorbet ice cream for THB80, red bean and cream green tea frappé and gourmet Italian coffees. The Chiang Mai outlet of the countrywide Cafe Kantary chain is on Nimmanhaemin Road and is a part of the prestigious Kantary Hills apart-hotel complex.
